Founded in 2008 with a shoestring budget, a supportive local community, and ambitious dreams, Fifth Crow strives to bring eaters the highest quality, best tasting, and most nutritious food possible. They grow produce, apples and pears, flowers, and heirloom beans and raise two flocks of heritage chickens for eggs.
They used their Zero Foodprint grant to apply compost and plant cover crops, both of which enrich their soil with healthy microbes, and create a better soil structure to retain more water.
