Stemple Creek

The science behind it.

The original pilot for the Marin Carbon Project.

Stemple Creek is fourth generation family owned ranch focused on providing the highest quality, regenerative, grass-fed and finished beef, lamb and pork. It may also be the birthplace of Zero Foodprint. The research done by the Marin Carbon Project at 3 pilots opened our eyes to the world-saving potential of regenerative agriculture. Our relationship with Stemple Creek showed us that sourcing alone does not always get the next practice to the next acre.

We’re proud to be a part of their journey. With a grant from Zero Foodprint, Stemple Creek applied compost to 50 acres of rangeland and seeded forage for their cattle.

“This could potentially help a lot of farmers and ranchers who don’t have the capital to implement carbon farming practices, which can be expensive, risky and take time to learn what to do. For consumers, it’s a chance to vote with their dollars and commit to helping combat climate change in a way they’ll barely notice on their check but will collectively add up and really help.”
